The Gospel of John which demonstrates that the trinitarian interpretation of John 6:38 is most definitely wrong and in this video we're going to look at the term son of man in the Gospel of John. John 3:13 no one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven the son of men. What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before John 6:62. Do you actually see what you were reading when you read these verses or does your mind just sort of go you know click over the words son of man, or just kind of clicks over to Christ or the Son of God or Jesus. If that is happening then you're really not appreciating what the words son of man mean. They're not just a random term to apply to Jesus. The words have meaning.

The son of God means son of God the Father, the Son is not his father and the father is not his son. You see the first problem with this argument. Let's just take their argument and use it like they use it, if son of man means Jesus is God then 'son of Mary' means Jesus is Mary. Their arguments is pretty silly but whatever sounds good to their ears is quite often what you run with in trinitarianism. The word man is a reference to nature, you know it's not a reference to a particular identity. The word God and the term son of God is a reference to a particular identity, God the Father the father of Jesus. Son of man is a man because he belongs to the category of humans but son of God means son of someone else your father God, and as we just illustrated Christians are begotten sons of God or daughters of God.

The term means you belong to a category if your are a son of man it means you belong to the category “sons of men.” It means you belong to the category of men, human beings.
Here are some examples from Scripture, what is man that you remember him or the Son of man that you were concerned about him.
Heb 2:6 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Matt 9:6-8, But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, …..but when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Do you see it, men, a human being.
Mat 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
The Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands and that is necessarily a reference to a human being, it was a human being who was bodily resurrected and a human being who suffered and was dead hanging on a cross suffering at the hands of men. The same idea here at:
Mat 26:2 Ye know that after two days is [the feast of] the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. It was a human being who was crucified hanging dead on a cross a Son of Man.
Finally if that doesn't convince you this one I hope will:
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost(God the Father), it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come. You can blaspheme a human being and be forgiven but not God.
The scripture is forcefully clear that son of man is a reference to humanity.
